CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – A cold Friday will be followed by an even colder and blustery Saturday as the National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory that day for Albemarle, Greene, Nelson, Culpeper and Madison Counties.

The advisory starts at 4 a.m. Saturday and continues until 7 p.m. with winds expected to sustain at 15-25 mph, with gusts up to 45 mph and in higher elevations up to 55 mph. Wind chills are also expected to be as low as five degrees below zero. The forecast currently calls for a high of 23°F during the day and a low of 10°F that night.

The advisory also recommends securing outdoor objects, keeping pets indoors as much as possible and ensuring any outdoor pets a warm, dry shelter, food and unfrozen water.
