CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW)- A Thursday afternoon car accident on Barracks Road resulted in a loss of power for people in the area, including some shops at the shopping center.

An SUV struck a utility pole, leaving about 930 Dominion Energy customers without power, the company told Cville Right Now.

As of 5 p.m. on Thursday, nine customers remained without power, Dominion said. It expected to have power restored to those customers by 7 p.m.
