“Hurricane Erin is forecast to bring life-threatening impacts to Dare County, including coastal flooding and impassable portions of NC Highway 12.
A State of Emergency has been declared for all areas of Dare County.
A Mandatory Evacuation has been issued for Hatteras Island (Zone A). Zone A includes all of Hatteras Island, including the unincorporated villages of Rodanthe, Waves, Salvo, Avon, Buxton, Frisco, and Hatteras.
