CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – The Charlottesville Radio Group is the home of the Virginia Sports Radio Network and UVA Athletics, and Friday November 29th it will use two stations so that you can follow both the Men’s and Women’s basketball teams in action.  First, the Cavalier Women are participating in a tournament in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and they defeated Wisconsin Green Bay 66 to 61 on Thanksgiving Day to open the tournament.  Friday, they will face Washington State at 4p.m. with coverage on WINA beginning at 4p.m. with Adam Hawes calling the action live from Puerto Rico.  Listen to Coach Mox’s comments after the Green Bay win below:

At the same time, the Cavalier Men’s Basketball team will host Holy Cross at the John Paul Jones Arena.  Coverage of the Men’s team will be on 97.5FM WWWV, starting at 3p.m. with Cavalier Countdown.  The Hoos are coming off of a home win against Manhattan on Tuesday evening 74-65 and are hoping to continue improving as they work through issues of reducing turnovers and finding consistent scoring and solid point guard play.
