Albemarle registrar Lauren Eddy resigns

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Albemarle County general registrar and director of elections Lauren Eddy resigned her position on Tuesday, the county announced Thursday.

The Electoral Board accepted her resignation and is seeking an acting registrar to fill the post, and full general registrar to take over the unexpired term.

Eddy was the deputy registrar when she was promoted to the top post with the Electoral Board, where she had worked for 17 years, at that point.
