ACPD makes arrest in Mallside shooting

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – The Albemarle County Police Department has arrested a man in connection to a Thursday morning shooting on Mallside Forest Court that left one person injured.

Mark A. Murphy Jr., 40, has been charged with aggravated malicious wounding, second or subsequent offense, and possession of a firearm by a previously convicted felon.

Murphy is being held without bond at the Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail.
