CHARLOTTESVILLE (WINA) – Albemarle Police Wednesday night responded to a third shots-fired incident at the Abbington Crossing Apartments behind Fashion Square Mall in the past month. County police say officers responded around 11pm to a report of shots fired in the 900 block of Old Brook Road. They arrived to find while no one was hit, one person was run over by a car leaving the area and was transported to UVa with non-life threatening injuries.  While no one was hit by bullets, buildings and vehicles were struck… just as an August 16 incident on Queens Court. The first incident July 27, a person was shot in the 800 block of Old Brook, but treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Albemarle Police are asking anyone who knows anything about any of these incidents to contact CrimeStoppers at 434-977-4000 or Crimestoppers@albemarle.org.
