Shooting outside Fashion Square Mall

ALBEMARLE COUNTY, VA – On Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at approximately 7:03 pm, patrol officers with the Albemarle County Police Department responded to a report of shots fired in the east parking lot of Fashion Square Mall at 1600 block of Rio Rd East.

Officers arrived on scene to discover two shooting victims. The two victims were transported to UVA hospital.

This is an ongoing investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Holmes at 434-531-9348.
