The suspect has been identified as Jowell Travis Legendre, age 29, a resident of Louisa County. He was arrested this evening in Fluvanna County and charged with the following offenses: Object Sexual Penetration; Forcible Sodomy; Robbery; Grand Larceny; and Credit Card Larceny.

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA – On September 19, 2018 at approximately 9:33 p.m., officers responded to a robbery that had just occurred in the area of the 500 block of 14th Street NW.
Once officers made contact with the victim, they discovered that she had been hit in the face and sexually assaulted. The suspect took multiple items belonging to the victim. The suspect is described as a black male approximately 5’10”. Investigators responded to the scene and are actively investigating the incident.
