No winner in Wednesday night’s Powerball leaves significant New Year’s money on table for Virginians

CHARLOTTESVILLE (WINA) – Thirty-three drawings later, and still no winner in the latest Powerball craze, which means Virginians have significant money on the table to win heading into the New Year. While someone in Texas did claim a $2-million payout after Wednesday night’s numbers were revealed, but a jackpot worth an estimated 700-million was left on the table.

That grand prize ballooned overnight to an estimated 760-million… or a lump sum cash value of 382.5-million. The next Powerball drawing is Saturday night at 10:59.

Also, the Virginia Lottery will announce its winners in the New Year’s Millionaire Raffle Monday.
