January 4, 2018, Statement from Charlottesville Police Department:

The Charlottesville Police Department is continuing to investigate the circumstances that lead to Molly Miller’s death. At this time, her death does not appear to be the result of a criminal act.

The final autopsy report from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner and additional test results from the State Forensic Laboratory are still pending. These tests results and report may take quite some time to be completed and sent to our department. As such, no additional information will be released until those reports are finalized.

The Charlottesville Police Department would like to send their condolences to the family and friends of Miller during this difficult time.
