CHARLOTTESVILLE (WINA) – There is now a mobile payment option for the city’s downtown parking garages. City Parking Manager Rick Siebert (SEE-bert) says parkers may now use the ParkMobile app to pay for parking in both the Market and Water street garages.

It’s the same app people have been using to pay for parking at the city’s West 2nd Street Lot, and in some of UVa’s parking facilities — including the Central Grounds garage. A city release says ParkMobile is the #1 app in the U.S., with over 23-million users — and is available for both IPhone and Android devices.
