CPD investigating Monday night shooting in area of Bainbridge and Carlton

CHARLOTTESVILLE (WINA) – Charlottesville Police are investigating a Monday night shooting where the victim drove himself to UVa with life-threatening injuries. Police got the call around 8:45pm to multiple calls of shots fired in the area of Bainbridge Street and Carlton Avenue. Upon arrival, officers found multiple shell casings, but a 42-year old victim from Albemarle County was already at UVa.

That person is still receiving treatment, and at this time, city police believe this an isolated and targeted incident.
