(RICHMOND – WINA)  The House of Delegates unanimously voted Monday that the Commonwealth should compensate Robert Davis, who was wrongfully convicted of the 2003 murders of a Crozet woman and her young son.

At the urging of local delegate David Toscano, the House rejected Senate amendments that could have placed the compensation for Davis in jeopardy.  House and Senate budget negotiators must agree on a compensation figure that both chambers will accept.   The House Appropriations commitee wants to pay Davis roughly $600,000.
